OUR STORY

Tekton Game Calls was born in a pole barn on Johns Island, South Carolina. In those early years, the focus was simple: create the most authentic, realistic sound possible, build a call that looked as good as it performed, and make it intuitive enough for everyone—from a first-time caller to a seasoned waterfowler.

I’ve always been a hunter, but it wasn’t until after graduating from college that I truly fell in love with duck hunting. Before long, I was building decoys, training retrievers, and crafting calls, all in pursuit of making each hunt a little more meaningful.

Today, our shop is located on James Island, just minutes from historic downtown Charleston. One of my favorite parts of this journey is welcoming people into the shop, sharing stories, and enjoying the fellowship that hunting naturally brings. Whenever possible, I source local hardwoods, and I take pride in balancing one-of-a-kind custom calls with dependable production calls built to withstand season after season in the field.

The name Tekton comes from the Greek word used in the Bible to describe Joseph and Jesus. It translates to artisan or craftsman—a name that reflects the values behind everything we build. Every call is made with a commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and purpose.
